Thank you for visiting our website. You’re only a few clicks away from our brand new home page that is exclusively about teacher training. So if you’re interested in in one of our basic TEFL qualifications, in the Cambridge CELTA or DELTA course or in one of our specialised teacher training course, just click on the picture or read for more information through the links below.

What is the CELTA

The Cambridge CELTA is the most widely recognised initial qualification in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL), recognised by language schools in dozens of countries around the world.

Over 10,000 candidates gain the qualification each year. Great importance is attached to quality control and this is assured in a number of ways,  including approval and moderation by Cambridge English Language Assessment, part of the world famous University of Cambridge.

The Cambridge DELTA

Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages is a TEFL course for teachers with some experience who want to:

  • build on their initial English teaching qualification and progress further in their TEFL career
  • extend their professional knowledge, develop their skills and apply these to different teaching contexts
  • take on new and challenging responsibilities in their teaching careers
  • demonstrate a commitment to the profession and prove their ability
  • examine their existing practices and beliefs.

Teaching Young Learners Course

The course aims to give you practical ideas for the young learner classroom and an opportunity to reflect on young learner teaching theory and practice. The seminars are highly practical, covering activities and techniques used in the young learner classroom, such as using songs, drama, stories, and videos; classroom management and planning; and approaches to teaching language and skills. For state school teachers the course can be used to gain 16 credits as long as it is approved by their school director.

Teaching Exam Preparation Classes (TEPC) Course

The course aims to give you practical ideas and techniques for helping learners prepare for exams. The seminars are highly practical, covering activities and techniques used in the exam preparation classroom. The course will orient participants to typical exam tasks and focus on the four language skills (which typically form the basis of exam assessment) as well as grammar and vocabulary. Two key threads in the course will deal with how we can teach learners as well as test them and how we can keep learners energised and motivated.

One-to-one Methodology Course

The dramatic increase in the popularity of one-to-one learning among both General English and Business English students has created a need for further training of teachers. This TEFL course is a direct response to that need. The four week, 12-hour course combines seminars, teaching practice via small group work with ‘real’ case studies to equip the practising teacher with an expanded set of tools, resources, and awareness to help them better do their job. Please note that the course is currently offered in a part-time format and therefore only suitable for Budapest-based teachers.
